This handcrafted miniature Viking-inspired shield magnet is made from two layers of wood to give it more dimension than a simple flat magnet. The natural wood face is hand-painted with a deep red upper section and a striking descending red design reminiscent of runes, dripping pigment, or an ancient battle marking.
A metallic silver-painted border surrounds the shield, with individually drawn rivet details adding to the aged metal effect. At the center, a raised metal tapestry tack forms the shield boss, giving the miniature piece a dimensional finishing touch.
The natural wood grain has intentionally been left visible through much of the design, creating a rustic contrast against the red and metallic detailing.
