This approximately 2-inch miniature Viking shield is handcrafted from two layers of individual wooden mini planks, carefully assembled, sanded, and painted by hand to create a dimensional Norse-inspired shield in miniature.
The wooden face is finished in a rich brown with a hand-painted golden geometric design. The outer rim is painted in metallic silver to mimic traditional metal edging, complete with individually dot-painted nail details around the perimeter.
At the center sits a dimensional metal shield boss, creatively made from a modified metal tapestry tack and permanently attached to give the shield a more realistic, three-dimensional appearance.
